Our Ibogaine Treatments
Our treatments are performed on Sundays. Ideally we would like to you here 2-3 days before the Sunday you take your Initiation. This will allow us to connect and get on the same page and for you to settle in. The more settled in and relaxed you are the easier it will be for you to surrender during your Journey. Being able to surrender to the process is important for many reasons and you will end up getting more out of your experience.
We perform our treatments in a quite seaside bungalow. In close proximity (walking distance) are places to get Thai massages, beautiful beaches for swimming, and a Health Spa and Restaurant with a great menu and a fasting program. We are also in the middle of an alternative health oriented community with plenty of healing modalities available including EFT, Hypnotherapy, Reiki, Yoga and Chi Gung Classes, Vedic Astrology, etc. If you think any of these treatments would help you before or after your Journey than we will be happy to schedule appointments for you.
We are very happy to be incorporating consultations with an Ayuervedic Doctor into our program. Dr. William has 30 years experience in alternative medicine and is one of the few Ayuervedic Doctors who has personal experience with Ibogaine and with consulting initiates about to take their journey. Included in our program are consultations with Dr.William before and after your “Trip”.
You will check into the bungalow you will be doing your treatment in on Saturday at 12:00. Consultations with Dr. William will be done that afternoon. The next morning at 7:30 a.m. The Dudes will show up and administer a small test does of Ibogaine to check for allergic reactions (there has been one allergic reaction in the history of Ibogaine use). At 8:00 the main dose will be administered. You’ll put in your ear plugs, put on your eye cover, and lay down in bed. Now it’s the medicines turn.
About 30 minutes later the first sensations will start to show up. They can be any combinations of deepening of breath, sounds, “buzzing” sensations in the body, and slightly increased heart rate. About an hour or so in the medicine will have strengthened and visions will probably start to show up. This peak experience lasts 4-7 hours and “The Dudes” will be there with you the whole time. Usually … at some point during this time period … The Initiate vomits. This is a good thing in our opinion and is a physical manifestation of purging metaphysical toxicity.
After about 7 hours or so the effects of the Ibogaine will start to decrease in intensity. Sometimes they might strengthen again for a little while but you are on your way out of that part of it. For the next 24 plus hours you will remain in a dreamlike state where visions will come and go and you’ll be in what we refer to as the reflection phase.
Once you have gotten to this part of the journey all you will want to do is lay in your bed and begin to process what you have experienced. One or both of “The Dudes” will check on you every 3-4 hours bringing you fresh juice, water, and healthy food. Again, all you have to do is stay in bed and reflect … everything else is taken care of. In 36 – 48 hours you’ll be back on your feet and ready to explore a brighter quieter world.
We recommend staying 1-2 days after our program is finished for maximum integration.
